The Bible tells us in Proverb 22:6 that we are to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We firmly believe that here at Life Christian Academy.

Our story

Life Christian Academy (LCA) was founded in 2008 by Carolyn Nelson as an option for her grandchildren. It opened its doors with just three students and one teacher with a vision to provide academic excellence, while developing Christ-like character. In 2011, Carolyn Nelson and Stefanee Tolbert teamed up and went through the steps to become a private Christian school. That school year we had twenty-six students and the two of them as our teachers. Over the years, we have steadily grown and currently have over 400 scholars & over 50 team members! God's grace and provision has been a constant and we are so grateful for His faithfulness in every step.

The Bible tells us in Proverb 22:6 that we are to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We firmly believe that here at LCA. With each passing year, LCA graduates a class of young men and women who are equipped both academically and spiritually to undertake the challenges of life with a Christian world-view. Every year, our students continue to test well above academic grade level average on standardized tests. We have watched our students transition into high school successfully, take advanced placement courses, join National Honor Society, become part of the cheer squad, theatre, football team, homecoming court and the list goes on and on. It truly is a privilege to see our students develop and thrive as they move into the next steps of their lives.

Here at LCA, we understand the great power that educators have over our children. And that is why at LCA we seek out those most passionate about providing the best education possible. Due to the growth of the school, we have now expanded to include enrichment programs in addition to our advanced academics. We are now able to increase their learning ability by offering our children a variety of classes including music, art, technology, organized sports and other extracurricular activities.

We have seen the hand of God move and meet every single one of our needs. God has faithfully provided the place, people, time and funds to help us build and grow LCA into what it is today. We thank God for all that LCA has been able to do for our children, through consistent support.
