Founded on Biblical Truth
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6:
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” This verse is not just a guiding principle—it is the very heartbeat of Life Christian Academy (LCA).
What began as a grandmother’s vision for her grandchildren has grown into a thriving academy shaping the lives of hundreds of students.
In 2008, LCA opened its doors with just three students and one teacher, Carolyn Nelson, determined to provide academic excellence while developing Christ-like character. In 2011, Carolyn teamed up with Stefanee Tolbert, and together they led the school through the steps of becoming a fully recognized private Christian academy. Their shared faith and commitment to Christian education laid the foundation for lasting growth. That same year, twenty-six students filled the classrooms, taught by dedicated teachers and guided by a vision much bigger than themselves.
From those Humble Beginnings
God’s provision has multiplied the mission of LCA. Today, we are a flourishing community of over 300 scholars and more than 40 passionate educators, all committed to nurturing the next generation of bold, faith-filled leaders. His faithfulness has been evident in every step, and we remain in awe of how He continues to open doors.

At LCA, education is more than knowledge; it is transformation. Year after year, our students graduate equipped both academically and spiritually to step into the next chapter of their lives with confidence, wisdom, and a Christ-centered worldview. Their success speaks for itself. LCA students consistently test above national academic averages, excel in advanced placement courses, and take leadership roles in National Honor Society, athletics, theater, and student government. Watching them grow into their callings is a privilege and a testament to the power of faith-filled education.
We also believe that who teaches a child is just as important as what they are taught. That is why LCA carefully seeks out passionate, dedicated educators who pour into students both academically and spiritually. As we have grown, so have our opportunities to enrich student learning through music, art, technology, organized sports, and a variety of extracurricular programs. These experiences expand their minds, strengthen their skills, and deepen their faith.
Through every challenge, every expansion, and every new opportunity, God has been faithful. He has provided the resources, people, and provision to shape LCA into what it is today, a school where students do not just learn but truly thrive.
