So what makes LCA unique?
We believe that each of these categories are what makes LCA so special and we hope you agree after learning more!
A Spirit Led Atmosphere is so important to us.
We intentionally make room for the Holy Spirit in every part of our school day. Through worship, prayer, and spiritual sensitivity, we create an environment where God's presence leads, guides, and transforms hearts.
So what is the HOUSE SYSTEM?
At LCA, scholars don’t just attend school—they become part of something bigger. Starting in kindergarten, each scholar is welcomed into a house, a lifelong community that inspires them to serve and grow in Christ. Through mentorship, friendly competition, and a shared mission, our house system cultivates strong friendships and unwavering faith.
The Four Houses of LCA
Each house represents a biblical value and a legacy of faith-filled leadership. Scholars are sorted into one of four houses, where they gain mentors, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
The House System
Here’s a great break down:
Below is an explanation of each house, the biblical characters and verse that they are based upon.
🔴 House of PHILOS (Love & Friendship)
“A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.” — Proverbs 17:17
Biblical Figures: Ruth & Peter
A house built on kindness, loyalty, and deep connections. Scholars in Philos uplift and support each other, fostering friendships that last a lifetime.
🟣 House of DOTES (Giving & Caring)
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.” — Luke 6:38
Biblical Figures: Hannah & Abraham
Dotes members lead with generosity and compassion, finding joy in serving others. These students embody selflessness, showing Christ’s love through action.
🟢 House of THARSOS (Bravery & Courage)
“Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
Biblical Figures: Esther & David
This house champions bold leadership and fearless faith. Students of Tharsos stand firm in truth, take on challenges, and inspire others to walk boldly in their calling.
🔵 House of ONÁR (Dreamers & Doers)
Now listen to what I say: If there were prophets among you, I, the Lord, would reveal myself in visions.” — Numbers 12:6
Biblical Figures: Mary & Joseph the Dreamer
Onár scholars are visionaries and changemakers, eager to step into the future with faith, innovation, and perseverance.
Does LCA have ATHLETICS? OF COURSE WE DO!
We believe athletics are more than just competition—they’re a training ground for character, resilience, and faith. Just as David stepped onto the battlefield with confidence in the Lord (1 Samuel 17:45), our athletes train, compete, and lead with purpose. Through rigorous coaching, Christ-centered mentorship, and the drive to excel, our teams embody discipline, teamwork, and unwavering faith. Whether on the field, the court, or the track, LCA athletes pursue victory with humility and strength—knowing that true success is found in glorifying God through every win, every challenge, and every lesson learned.
Hands on Learning.
Learning comes alive at LCA. Through interactive, project-based experiences and real-world application, scholars deepen understanding, build creativity, and retain knowledge in meaningful ways.
Every Child Known.
We believe every child carries unique God-given gifts. Our role is to nurture those gifts in the classroom, in their spiritual walk, and in their creative pursuits so they grow with confidence and purpose.
Family Culture:
LCA is more than a school—it’s a family. Our community is rooted in love, encouragement, and mutual support. Scholars, staff, and families walk together in grace, faith, and unity.
